CWKPQ Guide (created by Pinky and Rob)

This hasn't been perfected yet. If you guys have anything to add to it, please let me know and I'll add it in asap. I'm just putting in this information because it seems like a lot of you are interested in cwkpq.

Things You Should Know

The level requirement for this party quest is level 90 with no prerequisites unless you want to lead the run. This party quest takes place at Crimson Wood Keep. This can be reached through New Leaf City. If you do not know where this is or have never heard of it... you probably shouldn't go.

  • You must have a minimum 10 members in order to start the party quest.
  • You must have 2 members of from each of the five classes: Bowman, Magician, Pirate, Thief, and Warrior.
  • You can only go twice a day. [Sorry I'm not sure if this is twice every 24 hours or twice every day, or twice within 24 consecutive hours. I'm not sure about that whole, "if you don't get to the boss stage it doesn't count as a try" thing either.] Wait 15 minutes before reentering.
  • The maximum number of members allowed is 20 members.
  • KoC characters are not allowed into the run.

  • You're going to need all cures if you are an attacker for support because they seal, weaken, and curse.
  • There are four Marks of Naricain that drop each pq, one from each of the four bosses as they die.
  • You need haste...but if you have two level 90+ thieves going that don't have haste...there's something seriously wrong.
  • If you die, you lose 1%.

If you want to lead...

You need to have the crimson keystone and eight [?] crimson guard hearts. You can get these crimson guard hearts on your way to Crimson Wood Keep, It is left of the Courtyard.

To Start

[Time: 5 minutes]

Go to cwk and to inside into the Inner Hall Sanctum or whatever. The leader will talk to Jack Barracade to start the "adventure." Everyone that is going on this run will then sign up by talking to Jack Barracade also. Everyone will have 5 minutes to sign up starting from the time the leader requested to start a run. When everyone has signed up and all that crap, you're good to go. (I'm not sure if the leader is supposed to talk to Jack Barracade again to start, but I would assume so? I've never lead.)

I guess if you guys are just going for fun, you should make it so that every party has a DrK/DK and a bishop.

If you're trying to sell or buy a MoN, it's generally split up so that the buyers are in one party. Rushers are in one party. Attackers are in one party. Each party with their respective bishop and hb, and possibly: si, se, hs. This is loosely decided.

Stage 1

[Time: 5 minutes]

Talk to Jack Barracade to enter the party quest. You will be teleported into a map with lots of pillars to the right. On the fourth pillar is a hidden portal. You are to go into that hidden portal. If you do not do this quickly, guardians will be summoned on the map...and you might die, which is a little lame. After you enter the portal, you'll be transported to the next stage.

Stage 2

[Time: 10 minutes]

To start this stage, the leader has to talk to Jack Barracade to begin. On this stage, there are five ugly little towers with a blue circles on the top. These five towers represent the five classes: warrior, bowman, magician, theif, and pirate. At the top of these five towers, you are supposed to hit the ugly blue thing with your third job skills until the ugly blue thingy spins. That is a sign that you are done with that tower. Each tower will only respond to a certain class. So if you have tried all your 3rd job skills on one tower and it hasn't moved, you're probably at the wrong tower. The towers goes as follows:

(Where everyone enters)         [Warrior]            [Bowman]          [Magician]           [Thief]           (portal)           [Pirate]

When all five of the towers are done, the stage is cleared and you can move on to the next stage through the circular portal with five-cornered star in the middle. (It's kind of like a stargate portal...if you know what that is.) Be sure to go through before the timer runs out, or you will be transported out of the pq.

Stage 3

[Time: 10 minutes]

Jumping quests. At the top of each jumping quests there are more ugly blue things; five more, one for each of the five classes again. You are to find those blue things and use your 3rd job skills on it until it spins. The order goes as follows:

[Pirate]    <-----Top of the map

[Thief]

[Magician]

[Bowman]

[Warrior]    <----- Bottom of the map, closest to the portal.

There will be this big ugly and kind of scary totem pole thing that moves on the map. The object of that totem pole is to basically knock you down. However, the damage is does is 1/1 [I think], so make sure you pot right after you get hit. The totem pole is fat enough for you to get hit twice before it passes you, so if you don't pot, you'll die, which is lame.

When all five of them, I think they're called Sigils or whatever have been activated, you need six adventures [or just one to do is six times] who goes all the way up the jumping quest and goes through the portal. After six adventures go through the portal, the stage is cleared. You may proceed to the next stage. The stargate thing in which you entered through will light you, and you can go to the next stage through that

Stage 4

[Time: 10 minutes]

Same thing as Stage 3. Jumping quests. Something that can get pretty annoying about this quest is that fire and stirges spawn on the platform, but its not really that hard to get past them. Once again there are five sigils, one for each of the five classes. Activate them to clear the stage. **Note that there are also fake ones. They tend to spin faster than the normal ones. If that is the case, you have to go and find the real one and activate it. (Or you could just activate all of them. lol) This is where the Sigils are:

The position is the position on the map, the number is the amount of Sigils that are there.

Top of the map --->        [1]                 [2]                 [1]

                                   [1]                                      [2]

Bottom of the map-------

When all five of the real ones have been activated, the stargate looking thing that you entered the map through will light up, and everyone may proceed to the next stage. Be sure to go through before the timer runs out.

Stage 5

[Time: 15 minutes???]

There are five rooms, one for each class. Runners are to go into the room that matches their class and kill the monsters or hit orbs. Talk to the statue to obtain a weapon. The rooms are as follows:

                                                         [Magician]

[Bowman]                                            [Pirate]

[Warrior]                                               [Thief]

(portal)

After you talk to the statue, leave the room and come back out to the main hall. Drop the item on one of the arms of the gigantic ugly statue. Here is where you put each item:

[Magician: Wand]                                         [Thief: Claw]
Top Left Hand                                               Top Right Hand

[Pirate: Gun]                                               [Warrior: Sword]                                       [Bowman: Bow]
Far left of the right arm                                           Middle                                          Far right of the left arm

(portal)

After all the weapons have been put in their respective spots, the stage should clear, and you can go to the next stage.

Stage 6

[Time: 90 minutes]

The leader talks to the statue (on the right) to spawn black guardians (from the left). Kill all of the guardians. The leader then talks to the statue again to spawn the four bosses. They spawn at the same time. The mage boss spawns on the top middle platform while the other three spawn on the bottom. **Note: If you are selling MoNs, have your buyers stand on the middle platform of the upper right group of statues. That spot will keep them safe.

It seems like in most cwkpqs I've gone on, people go about killing the bosses like this...

Warriors rush the bottom three monsters either to the far left of the map while attackers kill the mage boss in the middle. After the mage boss dies, the warriors are to bring one boss over to the far right of the map while the other two remain rushed on the far left. This is how the attackers kill each boss one by one. **Note: Before moving the archer boss to the far right side of the map, it would be better if all the buyers go to the top middle platform. (I think.) After each boss dies a MoN will drop. If you have buyers, tell them to loot before moving onto the next boss.

Some things you might want to keep in mind about the bosses...

Mage boss: She can make your character become undead. Until she is dead, bishops are to take heal off of their key configuration. If you are healed while under this spell, you will be healed to death...which is a little lame.

Warrior boss: Its the reason why parties need hyperbody. It can also buff, which means that it can do more damage than it usually does. This is when you might want to have a bishop to come and dispell the boss. It also has an attack that can send you flying back and stuns you, which is a little annoying.

Thief boss: It can jump attack, so if you're on the top platforms, watch out for your hp when its getting moved to the far right.

Bowman boss: By far the most annoying boss in the whole pq. Its attacks can reach up to the higher platforms as well; so watch out for your hp when its getting rushed to the far right. It can also do 1/1 + poison. You really have to watch out for this because even though its 1/1, the poison will get your last 1 hp if you don't pot fast enough. It also attacks and seals, or attacks and stuns, which is what makes it really annoying.

Bonus Stage

[Time: 2 minutes]

After you've killed all four of the bosses, you can go to bonus. To go to bonus, the leader talks to the statue on the right. Everyone can then enter through the doors on the far right of the map. This will bring you to a smaller map. You have one minute to go from this map to the bonus map. Go through the portal on the far left of that map to go to bonus. It might be a good idea to wait for everyone to get to the portal before going in. The timer starts when the first person goes in. If you don't wait...you're kind of an ass. You have one minute starting from when the first person enters the map to break chests and collect your prize. You can exit through the door on the right of the bonus map, or wait for the timer to run out.
